PM Awas Urban 2.0 Online Registration and Eligibility

PM Awas Urban 2.0 2025 (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2025 - Urban 2.0) is the most popular housing scheme for poor and middle-class people in urban areas. The government of India provides eligible families/beneficiaries through States/UTs/PLIs to construct, purchase, or rent affordable houses in urban areas. In the next 5 years, poor and middle-class families will get their own house before 2029 under PMAY-U 2.0.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 scheme, the government provided to 1 crore urban poor and middle-class families. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs announced and started taking online applications for the PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 Scheme.

Who can apply for PM Awas Urban 2.0 Scheme?

Under this Pradhan Mantri Awas Urban 2.0 Scheme, all allotted houses will be in the name of women, either jointly or in sole ownership. The central government investment of Rs. 10 lakh crore and subsidy of 2.30 lakh crore under PMAY-U 2.0. This means every poor and middle-class family will get an affordable house with subsidies in urban areas.

The EWS families (annual income up to ₹3 lakh), LIG families (annual income up to ₹6 lakh), and MIG families (annual income up to ₹9 lakh) are eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 scheme.

Documents for PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0

Before applying and submitting your application under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 scheme, please ensure you have the following documents ready, digital and physical:

1. Applicant's Aadhaar details (Aadhaar number, name as per Aadhaar, date of birth).
2. Aadhaar details of family members (Aadhaar number, name as per Aadhaar, date of birth).
3. Active bank account details of the applicant (account number, bank name, branch, IFSC code) linked with Aadhaar.
4. Income proof (Only PDF file, Size up to 200KB.)
5. Caste/community proof (in case of SC, ST, or OBC). (Only PDF file, Size up to 200KB.)
6. Land document (in case of BLC vertical). (Only PDF files, Size up to 5 MB.)

Please scan all your documents before starting the application. Also, maintain or compress your PDF files to the size mentioned above.

As per government norms, if the applicant meets eligibility criteria, then the applicant is eligible for getting benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Urban 2.0. The government implemented PMAY-U 2.0 through four verticals, and the applicant will be under this.

1. Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC)
2. Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP)
3. Affordable Rental Housing (ARH)
4. Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS)

Under this BLC/AHP, ARH, and ISS verticals, houses are up to 45 sqm, 60 sqm, and 120 sqm of carpet area built for applicants. The final allotted area can vary according to government-eligible criteria and norms.
